Two days before the draw for the next African Nations Championship to be held in Morocco from January 13 to February 4, 2018, the organizing committee of CHAN met on November 15 in Rabat.

They validated the draw procedure and took out the various pots for the draw on November 17. Cameroon (quarter-finalist of the last edition) is in pot 2 of the underdogs in the company of Guinea, Nigeria and Zambia. Host Country , Morocco is in the pot 1 of the favorites.

Pot 1: Morocco (host country), Angola, Ivory Coast, Libya

Pot 2: Cameroon, Guinea, Nigeria, Zambia

Pot 3: Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan

Pot 4: Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Namibia

The organizing committee has also validated the calendar of the final tournament which will run from January 13 to February 4, 2018 in the following cities:
Casablanca (group A), Marrakech (group B), Tangier (group C), Agadir (group D ).

The opening match and the final will be played at the newly refurbished Mohamed V complex in Casablanca, which hosted the final of the Total Africa Champions League.

It’s Friday evening that the A ‘lions of Rigobert Song will be know on their future opponents of the first round.
