Former Feutcheu FC defender, Charley Roussel Fomen returns to France after signing a 2-year-contract with Red Star FC of France.
“Today I am pleased to announce my new contract with the Red Star club. It is an honor for me to wear white green for the next two seasons. I thank my family, my faithful friends and all those who have supported me during these difficult times. I carry you in my heart,” the former OM player said on his facebook page.
During his professional career, Fomen played with Marseille, Dijon, Clermont Foot and Leiknir Reykjavik and will be returning to France three years since he left.
After a poor spell with Leiknir Reykjavik of Iceland, Fomen returned to the Cameroon Professional League to play with Feutcheu FC.
“I had a tough time, I hit the bottom, but I never gave up, because only those who have failed can obviously recognize the success value. I learned and learned a lot, life is an eternal beginning. Firmness and patience are two great aids, they always triumph over the disastrous circumstances of life,” Fomen said.
Before making his professional debut with Olympic Marseille in 2009, he had spells with Mount Cameroon and Panthere Bangangte.
