Fan violence marred Leopalds FC 3-1 win over EEMSA on Wednesday.

The game that began brightly ended on a desperate low.

Trouble erupted after a violent tackle on Kum Bryian of Leopards FC which was rightly sanctioned by the referee.

Fans of the home side rushed in to the field of play and one of them hit Jerome Fontem on his face while he was trying to place the ball on the floor.

Also, another group of persons gathered around Serge Fabrice who had committed the foul and knocked him to the floor.

The game was halted for 16 minutes within which club officials of both sides rushed to the field of play to restore order and forced fans out of the field.

Play finally resumed with Leopald FC grabbing the third goal.

Reacting to the press at full time, Coach Mbi Rocky confessed that the fans have made Menji a jungled and called on security measures to be employed for the development of good football in Menji.

On his part, Coach Ayuk Basil of EEMSA said it is an old habit and he hopes that things get better.

Ayuk then threw more light on the two players injury situation, saying they need between two to three weeks to fully recover.
