Canon Yaoundé has been relegated into the MTN elite two championship. This comes after the club suffered another defeat in the league today at home to Unisport.
It has been a season to forget for Kpakum who have so far picked up just 26 points from possible 90 points in 30 games played. So far the legendary Yaounde Club registered 5 wins,11 draws and 14 defeats this season.
The team which has won the Cameroon Cup more than all other clubs in the country and 2nd most successful league team in the land with 10 titles just 4 titles behind Cotonsport of Garoua and the Cameroonian club that won continental title back in 1980 with star man Jean Manga Oungene would from next season play in the second tier of Cameroon football.
Therefore, they would have to renew their rivalry with TKC at the lower league next year.
There r still 12 points to play for but it would be difficult for Dieudonne Nke’s boys to stay out of the cold water of relegation at the end of the season.
