Vincent Aboukakar on Monday surpassed former Lions’ legend Pierre Achille Kouama Webo ‘s international goals to move fourth on the all-time list of most International goals for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

It was a great start of the week for Vincent Aboukakar’s goal on Monday against Nigeria as it took his tally for the national selection to 20 goals in 60 appearances.

This gives Abou an average of a goal in every 3 games. He is now the 5th all time top scorer for Cameroon.

He is now behind just four greats;Samuel Eto’o Fils(56 goals),Roger Milla Albert(43 goals), Patrick Ndem Mboma(33 goals),Francois Oman Biyik(26 goals).

Going into Monday’s game, he was the joint 5th top scorer with Pierre Achille Kouama Webo who has scored 19 times for Cameroon but Abou’s goal took him one clear of Webo.

The goal from the penalty spot against Nigeria came few hours after he had signed a 4-year-contract extension at FC Porto which would him earn an annual salary of 1.5 million Euros per year.

At the age of 25 with his peak still to come, you can bet against him outscoring the guys ahead of him at your peril.

One more important fact, the former Coton Sport man goal help the Lions pull a draw and maintain their record of no defeat in a FIFA/CAF organized competition in Mfadena for 45 years and counting.
