It was memorable day for two legendary clubs in Cameroon football as Union of Douala and Aigle Royal Dschang survived relegation.
Going into the day 33 battle with fears of relegation, Union of Douala and Aigle Royal had to give in all they could to see the victory brings them out of the hot waters of relegation.
For Union of Douala, taking on last years MTN Elite One champions, UMS of Loum, it was a tough nut for them to crack. Playing in front of their fans, Union had to tap from their past glory to beat the former champions 3-2.
On their part, Aigle taking on another threatened relegation side, Astres FC of Douala, saw them humbling the visitors who desperately need a win 2-1.
The victory recorded by both clubs saw them survived relegation.
Astres will have to battle on the last day to see that they also survive as they are currently chased by another relegation zone side, Racing of Bafoussam.
