Nicolas N’Koulou has joined Torino from Lyon on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent should the Cameroonian defender convince Torino.

The move comes after a move from Marseille to Lyon saw disappointing spell in Ligue 1with the former Indomitable Lions’ skipper spending most of his time on the bench.

With the new move, N’Koulou is expecting to get more playing time with Turin outfit.

Since joining Lyon last season after five years with Marseille, the defender has made just 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season.

N’Koulou won the Coupe de la Ligue with Marseille in 2012 and was part of the Cameroon squad that triumphed in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
