It was a Saturday to be forgotten soonest for the two Limbe clubs in the semi finals of the Southwest Mini Interpools tournament.

The two Limbe based sides, Victoria United aka OPOPO and St Peters were beaten in the first leg of the semi finals game that took place at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium.

The 2016/2017 Cameroon Cup semi finalist , Victoria United were beaten in the first game 1-0 by EEMSA of Tiko. It was the second defeat suffered by the Limbe side in the Southwest Regional League.

Meanwhile, St Peters that also had a good outing in the Cameroon Cup that saw them reach the quarter finals we’re beaten in the second encounter by Maumu Youth FC 2-0.

The poor show or form from these two sides that carried the flag of the region in the Cameroon Cup, is a warning signal to them that two competitions are never the same.

Beaten in the first leg, the two Limbe clubs will definitely be counting on the return leg which is to be played on their own backyard.

The return leg will take place next weekend in Limbe
