Stade Renard of Melong’s Coach Augustine Tchoupou has left the club “by mutual consent” after the club narrowly survived relegation this season, the club announced on Friday morning.
The decision for the coach to move on and seek a new challenge was arrived on Tuesday after a meeting between the coach and the club hierarchy and communicated to mysoccer24.com on Friday morning.
Coach Augustin,Joined the club in April with 19 games to save the club’s life and the objective of maintaining the club’s status as a top flight club after a disastrous start of the season.
The “fire extinguishing Coach” enjoyed a wonder start of his era in Melong registering 6 wins and 2 draws in his first 8 games.
Coach Augustin Tchoupou’s good work and result on the field of play saw him named LFPC manager of the month of May after wins against,Union Sportive,Eding Sport FC,New Stars and then in form Aigle.
The ball possession interested technician’s job became more difficult after that good run when the club lost their top scorer,Tamo Giresse Tinwo to an injury.
Tamo’s absence in the last 10 games saw results dry but the coach amassed enough points(42 points ) to keep Stade Renard in the top flight as the club finished 12th in the 18 club championship.
The tactician told mysoccer24.com that he would have love to stay on,but thought stepping down was the right decision given that God had given him what he asked for.

The coach equally guided Stade Renard to the 16th finals of the cup of Cameroon and is already attracting interest from many clubs in the country and abroad while Stade Renard is looking forward to appoint a coach to help the club challenge for honours next season.
Two coaches currently managing elite one clubs whose names mysoccer24.com is still keeping have being set aside as the club’s priority to replace Coach Augustin Tchoupou.
