Egypt international Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ has continued his fine run of form in the Turkish Super Lig after scoring his 10th goal of the season.
Trezeguet has so far enjoyed his best-ever season on personal level since joining Kasimpasa and has now scored for the second game in a row. This is the third time he’s done it this season after scoring in the first two games of the season and then enjoying a burst in form where he scored four goals in three games against Besiktas, Akhisarspor and Yeni Malatyaspor.
By scoring against Bursaspor, Trezeguet has matched African legend Samuel Eto’o on the chart, with both players having 10 goals a piece. It must be noted that Eto’o has scored his 10 goals for two different clubs, Antalyaspor and Konyaspor, in four less matches than Trezeguet.
In addition, the 22-year-old has matched former Liverpool and Besiktas winger Ryan Babel as well, becoming the joint-highest top scoring winger in Turkey this season. Trezeguet has 13 goals in all competitions compared to Babel’s 12, while both players are equal on assists with five.
Kasimpasa are facing Bursaspor in a must-win match. Bursaspor hold 33 points in 13th place while Kasimpasa are 10th with 34 points. A win would take Kasimpasa to 37 points and leapfrog Yeni Malatyaspor to 9th place.
