The Juventus forward, who is vying for his sixth Ballon d’Or accolade, has tipped the Liverpool attacker for the award alongside Luka Modric and three FIFA World Cup winners.
Salah enjoyed an outstanding first season at Anfield, helping Liverpool to the UEFA Champions League final in Kiev earlier this year, where they eventually lost to Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old scored 44 goals for the Reds in his maiden season at the club.
“The same as usual, even if I don’t know if Messi will be on the podium this time,” Ronaldo told France Football.
“So, let’s say Salah, Modric, (Antoine) Griezmann, (Raphael) Varane, (Kylian) Mbappe – the French in general because they are world champions.
“But I will wait and see if all these players are still at the top in 10 years, like Messi and I have done, and like we continue to do. ‘Still there, on the podium, since more than 10 years,” he concluded.
