The Swope Park Rangers have signed midfielders Ayyoub Allach and Jerome Ngom Mbekeli, the club announced today.
Allach joins the Rangers after spending his professional career to date in Belgium with Lierse SK, while Ngom spent most of his career playing for Apejes FC de Mfou in his native Cameroon. Both signings are pending league and federation approval.
Allach, 20, joined Lierse SK’s Under-19 side in 2013 from JMG Academie in Belgium, before being promoted to the senior side in 2014 at the age of 16.
He made his professional debut for Lierse on March 29, 2014 in a Jupiler Pro League Playoff II matchup against Waasland-Beveren before making his league debut on August 9, 2015 in a 1-1 draw against KVV Coxyde in the Proximus League, Belgium’s second division.
Born in Belgium but of Moroccan descent, Allach went on to make 56 appearances for Lierse in all competitions, tallying two goals and three assists from midfield. Allach has also represented Morocco at the Under-20 level in the past, making his debut in 2015 at the age of 17.
Ngom, also 20, arrives in Kansas City in a loan deal from Czech side MFK Vyskov, having primarily played for Apejes FC de Mfou in his home country of Cameroon.
A product of the Ecole De Football Des Brasseries Du Cameroun (EFBC), the same youth academy that produced world superstar Samuel Eto’o, Ngom joined Apejes FC de Mfou in 2016 and has spent two seasons with the club in the MTN Elite One, Cameroon’s top division.
Internationally, Ngom has represented Cameroon at various youth levels, including the Under-23 National Team where he has played alongside MLS members Hassan Ndam (FC Cincinnati) and Olivier Mbaizo (Philadelphia Union), as well as former Union winger Eric Ayuk.
The Cameroon U-23s are coached by former Liverpool, West Ham United and Galatasaray defender Rigobert Song.
