Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on a move for Ajax goalkeeper Victor Onana.

Voetbal International report Onana is on Tottenham’s radar as he looks for a new challenge.

The 22-year-old has played alongside Davinson Sanchez previously at Ajax and could be a smart addition to Tottenham’s squad.

If Spurs do go ahead and make the move, both club and player will owe former Chelsea forward Samuel Eto’o a big thank you.

Onana got his big career break playing for Eto’o’s foundation in Cameroon.

Speaking to Marca last year, Onana said: “The Eto’o Foundation helped me reach my dream, so I will always be grateful.”

This led to a move to Barcelona’s academy, where Eto’o also starred as a player.

He quit for more opportunities at Ajax and it paid off, where he became a first team regular.

He has played 95 career games for the Dutch side and is right to look for a new challenge at 22.

The big question at Tottenham would be whether he comes in as a replacement for Michel Vorm, or Hugo Lloris?
